Study of phagocytes-bacteria interactions in the marine environment, mechanisms of virulence and emergence of pathogens
I am involved in various research projects about phagocytes-bacteria interactions in marine environments. We are studying the virulence mechanisms of opportunistic pathogenic vibrios in oysters, their interactions with different hemocyte populations, and the role of free-living marine amoebae in pathogen dynamics and selection of virulence traits in the environment.
