Project: Molecular control of monocyte subset functions / Study the pathophysiological mechanisms of chronic joint inflammation.
Monocytes/macrophages play critical roles in the 2 major hallmarks of arthritis, i.e. inflammation and joint erosion. Focusing on microRNAs, our project aims to identify specific genes expressed by monocyte subsets critically involved in arthritis, to understand their contribution in arthritis pathogenesis, and to develop targeted therapies able to impact joint inflammation and bone erosion.
